This was by far one of the most interesting and inspiring book I have read in a long time. I never thought I was a good runner. My shins always hurt, and I had no lung capacity. While reading this book, I started taking my dog on the trails in the woods...barefoot. We made it three miles on the first try, and HE got tired and turned around to go back. No shin pain...and I was able to breathe the whole time. Thank you Chris...and thank you Erwan for recommending it!

This book is absolutely brilliant. I couldn't put it down and was sad to finish it. Then I went for a run and took my shoes off...

This book is absolute gold. I do question some of the nutritional advice, and the arguments made, but the physiology is all A-1 spot-on. And yeah, it's definitely one of the most inspiring things I've read in a long time. I can't stop talking about it - since finishing it I've paraded it around to let every runner I know about it. It's inspired me to start running distance again, but this time barefoot.

Some of us even don't realize the importance of this information. What a pity.

This is a great book! Not only was it fun to read, it also educated me on the world of running. Each time I picked the book up I was motivated to run more!

Thanks so much for this recommendation! I just finished the book; not only is it filled with lots of great information, it tells an amazing story about a unique and inspiring group of people. One of the most motivating things I've come across in a while, makes me want to run!!!!
