I have decided to join forces with Exuberant Animal, the health, movement and play organization my friend Frank Forencich heads.

The values of Exuberant Animal and MovNat are perfectly aligned :
_healthy people, organizations and culture
_preemptive health activism
_authentic human relationships and community
_simplicity and functionality
_personal and social responsibility
_play, creativity and innovation
_sustainability and integration with the natural world

Frank and all Exuberant Animal trainers are genuinely passionate activists in the field of movement, play, body-mind health and vitality and are positive participants in the emerging shift of culture that sees an increasing number of us switching from the unhealthy modern human predicament, which I call the “Zoo”, to the “Exuberant Animal” lifestyle, which I call the “True Nature” lifestyle.
Explained with different words, applied with partly-similar and partly-different coaching methods, our philosophies and practices share a common orientation which is to address the lack of contact with nature, lack of movement, lack of play, lack of authentic human relationships and communities that causes so much physical, mental and spiritual suffering to our lives and societies while at the same time we both provide rational, efficient and simple solutions and alternatives.
“Exuberant Animal is fun, communal, exhilarating, strength-increasing, joy-increasing, and just an incredible way to think and live!” (Laurent Muney)
We believe it is crucial to cooperate and join forces to make us stronger and generate an even greater positive impact that can inspire and help many more.
I invite you to browse the Exuberant Animal website. I suggest you start by watching Frank’s speech comparing ancestral living conditions and the modern human predicament here:

Truly inspiring and also humorous!
I also recommend Frank’s books, the most recent being “Exuberant Animal: The Power of Health, Play and Joyful Movement”

NB: MovNat and Exuberant Animal are separate organizations that remain fully distinct concepts. Frank Forencich is my friend, that I decide to support and contribute to what he does by joining his organization at a personal level does not and will not have any effect on the autonomous development of MovNat. It simply means that I am personally connected with an organization that seriously (and playfully!) goes to the right direction. For the same reason, MovNat could join other physical education, health, outdoors or environmental organizations in the future.

Erwan, you’ll be happy you joined with us – I include myself in Exuberant Animal, having been ‘onboard’ with Frank’s ideas since I’ve been reading his articles, then his books, then helping him onsite with events. EA is fun, communal, exhilarating, strength-increasing, joy-increasing, and just an incredible way to think and live!
Best,
Lauren Muney

I think this is a great idea, Erwan. Frank is a solid guy, and it does seem like your organizations have much in common. Perhaps the means to the end is a little different, but many of the guiding principles are the same.
I’ve read two of Frank’s books, and all of his newsletters available on his site. I also enjoyed interviewing him about his Exuberant Animal philosophy. I can say with assurance that he will be a powerful ally for natural movement.
I’ve also heard he may be out on the East Coast later this year. Hopefully, I can make it to a seminar.
Best,
John
Lauren, it’s not like I have connected with EA yesterday, it has just been “officialized” and that’s a good opportunity for me to introduce Frank and Exuberant Animal to people following MovNat, something have been intending to do for a few months already, just that there were other priorities before.
“EA is fun, communal, exhilarating, strength-increasing, joy-increasing, and just an incredible way to think and live!”
.
I have added that to my post
John, it’s been more than 3 years already that I have connected with Frank the first time, and indeed he is a solid thinker and thought leader in the field of play and healthy lifestyle based on evolutionary theories.
.
I will cooperate with any individual or organization I believe is sharing MovNat’s orientation (or vice-versa). We may have different names, concepts, organizations or ways but ultimately our different ways lead us to the same way. That way is what I call an “orientation”.
We could say we are good and healthy life-oriented
Now, there are many people out there, often isolated, thinking no one else thinks the same way, that are trying to make a positive difference, and that they want to join with MovNat or Exuberant Animal or both (or other), the message is that we all just need to join or at least connect together in a way or another, and also mutually expand awareness about other organizations if we want to create a powerful synergy and generate a greater positive impact.
.
Simple idea huh
Very simple idea – strength in numbers. And I like that analogy of having a different focus, but the same orientation. I wish everyone involved with fitness and health would realize that we’re all after the same thing ultimately – better quality of life. Why not work together to make that happen in the world, instead of hording an idea and making ourselves into islands? I see this with marketing all the time!
Yes John, but you forget that if human nature has the same source, then human life could be compared to floating down the same river, the human world could be compared to an ocean.
. If we were all the same, we would have nothing to share with others, think about it!
We need to call you John Sifferman to make a difference with other human beings. Because we live in a world of variety, wee need to use words, names, labels, tags or titles to differentiate different people, groups or concepts. Otherwise, it would be…conformity and conformity goes against the very essence of life.
So…you ARE an island
To illustrate this, I will quote Friedrich Nietzsche, one of my favorite quotes:
“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.”
Erwan,
I had only recently heard of you, but your program is something I’ve been searching for for a long time. You are a gift to the fitness and health community and I can’t wait to learn from you!
Hi Erwan,
I feel so fortunate to have come across your site (via You Tube).
This is one of the positive aspects of the internet, coming across a site like yours and being able to read about what you are sharing.
I look forward to hearing about the upcoming certifications.
Tudo de bom pra voce, (My wife is from Sao Paulo)
Coop
Having had the chance to train with both of you and hear your thoughts on fitness I am very interested to see what comes of deeper connection between the two organizations.
@Jen: that will happen
.
@Coop: well I feel fortunate to have people like you fueling this site with positive vibes! Obrigado, tudo de bom pra você tambem!
@Hey buddy, it’s cool to have you here
. Well, that’s a positive thing to see people or groups sharing similar views connecting, sharing or supporting each other, cooperative human beings can accomplish great things together.
Hi Erwan… have been enjoying your tweets – I signed up recently. I look forward to more synergy between the connected philosophies of MovNat and Exuberant Animal! Congrats on your “extraordinary ability” visa
