Certification Training in Kenya
I have just successfully completed my first level 1 certification course and certified 6 fitness professionals. Everyone had a blast including me!
This event was specially arranged for a very successful active vacation company based in the UK and operating in Watamu, Kenya.
More about this event soon.
The MovNat level 1 certification program will be open to all starting next year, 2010.

Congratulations on your first certification Erwan, and to all the new instructors! We need more retreats like Wild Fitness around the globe – it’s an excellent teaching model.
Be strong and be well.

Congratulations on a successful completion of your first certification. I can’t wait for you to have one here in the U.S. I am searching for some excellent places here in Texas that would be perfect for a U.S. certification. Austin,TX has an awesome environment with hills, rock climbing, acres of wooded areas, and awesome clear lakes.
Thanks for bringing us back to our true nature.
To quality living,
Ryan Bushfield CPT,CrossFit level 1
Thanks Erwan for an awesome 7 days in Kenya. Loved every minute! I am proud and honored to be one of your first certified Mov Nat coaches and am looking forward to catching up in London later in May when you pass through. Enjoy the rest of your time in Watamu.
Jess
Very exciting news I signed up to the newsletter but didn’t get news of an actual seminar taking place until now. How do I get into the next seminar?

Congrats Erwin! I am glad to see MovNat spreading all over the world and am looking forward to becoming certified if/when you come to the U.S.
Jamey
Look forward to learning more about MOVNAT, as it applies to people like myself who work in the urban jungle, firefighting and emergency medical procedures. Mark H, Providence Fire Dept,RI
From strength to strength!! Keep moving ahead Erwan.. all the best for many more training sessions!
Cheers!
Thanks John and Ryan, I appreciate your positive feedback very much.
Ryan,
I am actually looking not for a one-shot location but for THE location in the US where I will open a permanent indoors-outdoors training facility or in other words the “MovNat Headquarters”. Somewhere where nature is gorgeous!
Jess,
it is me that want to thank you for your impeccable professionalism and I am honored that you have embraced the MovNat coaching system with great passion.
Guys, prepare to be inspired by natural athlete and coach Jess!
Uriel,
with such a massive interest a greater organization and logistics is now required to handle the demand.
There is a lot to work on at all levels of the development, it is a fascinating and exciting process but that cannot be rushed.
Details of the seminars are coming soon, thanks for your understanding and patience.
Jamey,
that’s several HUNDREDS of people that have already filled out the MovNat Pro form…starting next year, we’ll have a little army of MovNat level 1 trainers to spread the word and teach the method.
.
So it is not “if”. I AM coming to the US.
And by the way, it is ErwAn
Mark,
indeed, despite a common preconception, MovNat can be trained anywhere, in an urban environment and even indoors. If you bring a leg-extension machine in the wood it won’t make the training more natural but if you climb in full gear through a broken window of a building, you are moving 100% naturally.
Fareed,
I am moving ahead like a wild feline, relaxed but intensely driven, very positive and constructive things are taking place.
Erwan,
First, conratulations for all that you’ve accomplished so far with Movnat. Second, many thanks for responding to emails and posts; its awesome that you stay in touch even though you have so much going on with Movnat. Third, please consider Maryland as grounds for your U.S. facility, we are host to the appalachian mountains, a great many parks with trails for running, climbing, biking, and water is all around us with various rivers, lakes, and the bay close by.
peace and light
I also teach a level one class. It’s on natural movement in martial arts. The training movements are in a basic eight pattern. The unending eight pattern allows one to move at fantastic speed, without any threat of injury. And in fact it is also benifical to the bodies lymth system, and other circulatory systems.
Uriel
There is an immense preparatory work before MovNat even started to get media attention, and now there is even more that is being worked on and done even though it is not yet visible.
MovNat is all about education in natural movement and natural lifestyle.
It is based on a very solid philosophy and coaching system, but also on a very constructive vision.
Now if you want to develop an educational method and program, spread it and make it last, you need to base your work on a serious structure and have a very realistic plan and strategy to achieve it.
In the meantime, I do my best to communicate the best I can because I truly value the interest that people have in what I do and in the approach and values I promote.
But Rome wasn’t made in a day, so hopefully I can count on everyone’s understanding and patience.
I’m excited for you to hold seminars in the US too. You should check out Utah. 4 seasons and all kinds of terrain high in altitude. Theres desert, forest, and mountain. Plenty of lakes too. The fall and spring temperature is just amazing, usually around 70 degrees and full of color. Congratulation on your first group. Hope to see you next year.
I had just recently learned of movnat from an article in men’s health magazine I am so interested to learn more!I’m a 33 year old father of 3 children & I’m married.I am not in great physical shape!I have a job in the oilfield that requires lots of my time. How pratical is it for someone like me to start this type of training? How many days should I do it? for how long? what does it cost for the seminars? and how many days is it? sorry for so many questions I’m just really excited! P.S. please!please! come to the colorado its perfect here!!
Hey Raymond
Thanks for so much enthusiasm, that is shared by many people emailing me.
The best to learn is indeed to attend one of my seminars. After a few days training with me, you have already a solid technical basis and been taught all you need to learn in order to train on your own, anywhere and anytime.
The whole goal of my coaching system is indeed teaching you a training system, means it is not just a set of techniques, but an overall approach and principles that enables you to become self-reliant in training and to make broader, faster and safer progress.
This is why MovNat cannot be self-taught. Anyone can practice natural movement because it is universal to the human species, but because many of us are so disconnected from this movement potential, an efficient and specific coaching model is required to accompany beginners, spare lots of trial and errors, avoid many injuries and learn optimum movement.
So the ultimate achievement for both of us is that you obtain autonomy and freedom in your practice of natural movement and that is actually doable in a relatively short amount of time thanks to the MovNat Natural Movement Coaching System.
Now regarding the seminars to come, there may be different prices, depending on the duration, group size, accommodation and other parameters, but the content of the instruction always aims at the very same objective of autonomy in training. I cannot yet provide details as I am still working on it, I understand everyone’s impatience but anyone that has ever participated in organizing events of this kind know that there is a lot of logistical parameters to be taken into account and that this preparatory process cannot be rushed. There is an equal number of people from the East and West coast that are asking for event in their area, not mentioning other states, Canada, Europe…and actually the rest of the world.
So like I mentioned before, my American friends or contacts and me are still working on these possibilities and should come up with good alternatives soon.
Normally we can announce details by the end of May and people will be able to sign up to the events by early June.
Thanks for your understanding!
Best,
Erwan
Erwan…Maine is a gorgeous place for Mov Nat. Just an idea.

Erwan,
I would like to suggest Payson, Arizona as a possible U.S. location. It has an ideal year-round climate and is literally surrounded by millions of acres of National Forest. Within 30 minutes you’ll find cactus, lakes, snowy peaks, tons of wildlife, and more. I have traveled the Western U.S. a great deal and this is my “go to” recreational paradise. It is only 1.5 hours from Phoenix, so airline travel is reasonably easy.
Let me know if you have any questions and thank you for introducing me to the absolute best way to remain fit, healthy, and happy.

Aloha, I couldn’t help but be interested in this system of training Erwan. I agree whole heartedly about the way most people view exercise, and I encourage my clients to “recondition” their bodies in ways nature designed them to be used. You ever thought about doing a cert in Hawaii? Wouldn’t that be ideal? Keep up the goodwork.
Thanks for the suggestion Josh, it looks like a very nice place indeed.
Brad, I’ve been to Hawaii 10 years ago already, it is indeed a fantastic place (loved Maui). As regarding certification events, I ideally want them to take place in the same specific facility where every training element needed is already there, which will spare me time lost in logistics preparatory work that is unavoidable whenever you change of location and have to travel etc…
But who knows?
Erwan, awesome! Sorry we could not do North Carolina but glad you got something started in West Virginia! Keep up the great work.
Keith
So much fun Erwan how we all try to come up with our own suggestions and locations, that means we all want to learn from you !! Congratulations !
In the mean time we should practice zen attitude and train patience
I second Ryan’s suggestion for Austin, TX. The Texas Hill Country has so many places that are ideal for this kind of training, and there is a HUGE outdoor-fitness community here. I’m excited that MovNat is growing in the US. I can’t wait to get back to exercising the way nature intended us to.
