Greg was introduced to MovNat at the very first West Virginia retreat in 2009, and has been a convert ever-since. In 2010, he acted as assistant instructor for the MovNat workshop in Brazil.
A MovNat approach to training combined with a good paleo diet helped Greg kick some fairly debilitating medical conditions in the past, stemming from auto-immune syndrome and chronic inflammation. In fact, his recovery from sickness to wellness, and ultimately to fitness, sparked his desire to move away from the corporate world (where he served as a Director for Rogers) into the realm of coaching as a career.
Frustrated by mainstream fitness and big-box gyms, Greg created StrengthBox, a unique athletic training facility in Toronto, as a place to train MovNat skills in an indoor environment.
Greg’s past experience with Rogers, one of Canada’s largest telecommunications companies, serves him well as a MovNat team member. Greg was responsible for national strategic planning and new business development, and now is turning his mind to promoting MovNat to the corporate world.
Greg has made numerous appearances on Canadian TV, including 2 Wylde on Health segments with author Robb Wolf, CP24s Breakfast, CityTVs Breakfast Television, and several local news shows.
Greg holds an MBA from Dalhousie University. He is a BioSignature practitioner, an Agatsu Kettlebell coach, and holds a CrossFit L1 certification along with speciality certifications in running, barbell lifting, Olympic lifting and nutrition. He is currently working on his CSCS.
Greg credits his own success to the motivation he gets from others, be they mentor, coach, or client.
“I’m driven by other people’s enthusiasm, and love showing people how to look and feel their best“, he says.
