In Japan today, various health challenges are emerging across the population. MovNat JAPAN believes its mission is to expand MovNat nationwide as a solution to help people reclaim their Natural Movement capabilities, which many Japanese inherently possess, and to provide the systems and environments necessary for building a healthy and functional body.
Current Health Challenges in Japan:
- Rising rates of lifestyle-related diseases
- Increase in frailty and locomotive syndrome due to aging
- Mental health issues and psychological stress
- Lack of physical activity and excessive sedentary behavior
- Nutritional imbalance (both overeating and nutrient deficiency)
- Rising medical costs and the growing importance of preventive care
- Widening health disparities, particularly between urban and rural areas or across income
levels
Data shows that individuals in lower income brackets have a lower rate of health checkups and a higher risk for lifestyle-related diseases, exacerbating the health gap.
MovNat JAPAN’s Initiatives to Address These Issues:
- Participation in Government Health Promotion Policies
(1) Partnership with Preventive Medicine & Longevity Policies
We will align with national health initiatives such as “Healthy Japan 21 (Phase II)” and the “National Health Promotion Movement”, promoting MovNat through collaborations with municipal wellness programs.
(2) Collaboration with Ministries and Government Agencies
MovNat JAPAN will actively participate in:
- “Sport in Life Project” (led by Japan Sports Agency),
- “Smart Life Project” (by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), and
- “Health and Productivity Management Certification Program” (Ministry of Economy,
Trade and Industry).
We will offer MovNat workshops for businesses to promote employee wellness as part of corporate health initiatives.
(3) Integration into School Education
In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, MovNat JAPAN will work toward incorporating MovNat into physical education classes and club activities. This will help address physical inactivity among youth impacted by smartphone and gaming dependency, and improve their fundamental movement abilities.
In addition, MovNat will be proposed as an academic curriculum not only in compulsory education, but also in private vocational schools and universities offering health and physical education programs.
- Collaboration with Businesses, Medical Institutions, and Insurance Providers
(1) Health Programs for Corporations
MovNat JAPAN will provide training programs suitable for office environments and remote
work settings as part of corporate health initiatives.
(2) Collaboration with Medical & Rehabilitation Fields
We will propose the use of MovNat in physical therapy and rehabilitative care through partnerships with hospitals and elder care facilities.
(3) Partnership with Health Insurance Organizations
We will partner with health insurance societies and life insurance companies to offer MovNat sessions as part of health promotion programs. We will suggest incentive models such as discounted premiums or health point systems — for example, users can earn health points by attending a set number of MovNat sessions.
Nationwide Expansion of MovNat
To realize the above initiatives, MovNat JAPAN will build a nationwide structure that enables
people across Japan to learn and practice MovNat’s Natural Movement method in a
systematic way. We aim to position MovNat as a recognized solution for Japan’s health
challenges.
