Rock Hancock
TEAM INSTRUCTOR
Rock Hancock is a dedicated fitness and wellness professional whose mission is to help people “age adventurously” — staying strong, resilient, and capable throughout life. His approach combines strength training, play, and nature-based movement to help individuals move through life’s challenges and past traumas with confidence and balance.
Rock grew up as a military brat, living all over the world, and became scuba certified at just 13 years old, exploring the coral reefs of Okinawa, Japan. His personal journey has been one of growth and transformation — from struggling with lifestyle habits, disordered eating, and body image to discovering the power of movement and strength training as tools for healing.
After taking nine years to complete his bachelor’s degree, Rock began a fulfilling career in fitness and wellness, working across healthcare, military, and corporate settings. At one point weighing 300 lbs, he experienced firsthand how lifting heavy, getting stronger, and reconnecting with nature could transform not only the body but also the mind.
Another passion of his is men’s work and masculine archetypes. Rock facilitates men’s groups that integrate rewilding principles and natural movement, guiding participants toward reconnecting with their bodies and true strength.
Life & Values
Rock is a proud father of two boys and a devoted husband. His family loves spending time outdoors and building community through shared experiences — from camping trips to simple gatherings.
A unique aspect of their lifestyle is living mostly floor-based, eating at a low table and sleeping on traditional Japanese shikibutons and tatami mats to stay grounded in daily life.
