Rock Hancock
Team Instructor – USA
Rock Hancock is a dedicated fitness and wellness professional whose mission is to help people “age adventurously” by staying strong, resilient, and capable throughout every stage of life. Through a unique blend of strength training, natural movement, play, and outdoor exploration, he empowers individuals to develop the physical and mental resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. His work focuses not only on improving physical performance but also on helping people reconnect with themselves, overcome limitations, and build a healthier relationship with movement.
Growing up as a military brat, Rock spent his childhood living in different parts of the world, gaining exposure to diverse cultures and experiences. His love for adventure began early when he became scuba certified at just 13 years old and explored the coral reefs surrounding Okinawa, Japan. These formative experiences fostered a lifelong appreciation for nature, exploration, and the importance of living an active, engaged life.

Age adventurously — staying strong, resilient, and capable throughout life.

Rock’s personal journey has been one of perseverance and transformation. Having struggled with unhealthy lifestyle habits, body image challenges, and disordered eating patterns, he understands firsthand the obstacles many people face on their path to wellness. At one point weighing over 300 pounds, he experienced the profound impact that strength training, purposeful movement, and reconnecting with nature can have on both physical and emotional well-being. These experiences continue to shape his compassionate and practical approach to coaching today.
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science—a degree that took nine years of determination and persistence to complete—Rock built a successful career helping others improve their health and performance. His professional experience spans healthcare systems, military environments, and corporate wellness programs, giving him a broad perspective on how movement can improve quality of life across diverse populations.
Getting stronger and reconnecting with nature can transform not only the body but also the mind.
