Beyond the Physical: Linus Littorin on the Spiritual Challenge of Level 3
By Brian Betancourt & Linus Littorin
When I first asked Linus Littorin how his Level 3 experience was, his answer surprised me, not because of what he said, but because of how deeply he meant it.
For Linus, completing the final Level 3 taught personally by Erwan Le Corre in Étréchy, France, was surreal. The course took place in the same forest where Erwan’s childhood explorations inspired the birth of MovNat. “It felt like stepping into the story itself,” Linus said. “The forest from the book, it’s real. And now I was in it.”
But what made the experience unforgettable wasn’t only the setting, it was the community. Linus spoke with reverence about being surrounded by people who shared the same drive to challenge themselves, not for competition or ego, but for the sake of growth. “Everyone there wanted to push their limits,” he said. “You could feel it.”
The Challenge of the Spirit
What struck me most about Linus was how he described the L3 not as a test of physical endurance, but of spirit. He told me he was more than physically prepared for the certification, yet after the first day, he was still sore. The real challenge, he said, was internal.
“It pushed me to become the human being I want to be,” he said. “It wasn’t just the physical test, it was standing in front of others with confidence, positivity, and presence.”
That, to me, captures the essence of what Level 3 really is. Many see it as a brutal physical challenge. And yes, it’s demanding. But for Linus, it was a mirror, a chance to face himself.
During his time in France, Linus stayed with Erwan. They rented an Airbnb together, and Linus even assisted in the L2 course beforehand. One night, they had a conversation that stayed with him. Linus admitted to Erwan that he felt nervous about the L3. Erwan asked him a simple but profound question:
“Where is that fear coming from? Is it a lack of belief in your physical ability, or something else?”
Linus realized it wasn’t physical at all. It was about confidence, especially in being seen and heard.
Finding His Voice
He told me that during his Level 1 and 2, his biggest struggle wasn’t with movement, it was with coaching. Standing in front of a group, speaking publicly, being seen. He had tried to hide from that. But when he finally did it, something interesting happened: the feedback he received was the opposite of what he felt inside. “Everyone told me how confident I seemed,” he said. “But internally, I was shaking.”
When he began preparing for L3, those same feelings surfaced. This time, though, he made a conscious choice. After his talk with Erwan, he gave himself a personal challenge:
“Look people in the eyes. Say hello. Talk to them with confidence and without fear.”
Even during our own interview, he confessed that he had butterflies in his stomach, but that was exactly why he wanted to do it. “This is where I grow,” he said. And I couldn’t agree more.
Public speaking is one of the most transformative skills a person can develop. It’s not just about communication, it’s about visibility, self-trust, and presence. In my own career, I’ve seen how it can change the trajectory of someone’s life. When you stand in front of others and speak with authenticity, people take notice. And in many ways, that’s what Level 3 is: a stage that asks you to show up fully.
A Universal Lesson
Linus completed every physical task, but his true victory was internal, reclaiming confidence in his own voice. That’s what I love about Level 3: it’s different for everyone. For one person, it’s endurance; for another, technique; for someone like Linus, it’s courage.
What was the most memorable moment
from your level 3 experience?
Something I will carry with me for the rest of my life is the joy I felt the last hour of the whole certification. After being pushed all days long, making it to the last day and going through all the tests to complete it, Erwan set us free to roam the beautiful setting of the Etrechy forest. This time instead of leading us, he let us take turns leading the group in a ‘follow the leader’ style. Our bodies were exhausted and pushed to the limits, and still here I am running freely like a child, crawling, jumping rocks and balancing on logs with my new found MovNat family. Somehow it felt like the essence of playfulness, the confidence in our abilities and the love of moving naturally with a tribe gave us all an extra reserve of energy to unleash into this moment. I was in a state of pure happiness and feeling free during this hour. Thinking back on my MovNat journey, seeing Erwan as a role model and sharing the same kind of childhood setting – this felt like a full circle moment. Later that night when the group gathered for a last BBQ, I shared with the group how much I loved this and that I want to do this again! That it will think back to that moment and want back to it in everyday life. I got an idea and acted on it – inviting my L3 family next spring to my house in the forest in Sweden, to experience this again, but this time in my childhood woods where the natural movement all started, for me!
As he said near the end of our talk, “I wish everyone could experience what L3 is, not necessarily the certification itself, but what it represents: being with like-minded people, facing a challenge together, and coming out changed.”
That conversation led us to talk about the upcoming MovNat Games in March 2026 in Playa del Carmen. Where the L3 asks, “Can I complete this?” the Games will ask, “Can I surpass myself?”—a whole new dimension of growth through friendly competition.
We both agreed: challenge is what keeps us alive. It’s how we evolve. Whether through the L3 or the MovNat Games, what matters is putting yourself in situations that make you uncomfortable, because that’s where transformation lives.
I want to thank Linus for sharing his story and vulnerability. Though our stage call wasn’t recorded due to technical issues, this article captures what I remember most, the spirit of his words and the humanity behind them.
Because in the end, Level 3 isn’t just a test of physical mastery. It’s a mirror that asks, Who are you becoming?
